I review clothing, footwear and outdoor gear in real life to find out what actually lasts, what falls apart, and what’s worth your money.
Sustainable Clothing, Footwear and Outdoor Gear, Tested Properly

My Heavy Foot
My Heavy Foot is a blog about sustainable clothing, footwear and gear that is built to last. I started it because I was getting tired of buying products that looked good on paper but fell apart far too quickly in real life. If something is going to claim it is durable, eco conscious, or worth the money, I think it should be able to prove it.
How I Review
I review products based on real world use, not just brand claims. Where possible, I look at the company’s sustainability credentials, the materials used, and how well the item holds up over time. I also track things like wear, washes, mileage, and comfort, and for things like sports clothing and footwear I may use Garmin data to back up what I am seeing.
Why Trust Me
I test things in everyday life, so my reviews are shaped by the same sort of use most people give their clothes and shoes. I am hard on gear, I notice when quality drops off, and I am not interested in pretending something is better than it is. My aim is simple: to help you find better-made products that are more sustainable, more reliable, and actually worth buying. I know I can't be the only one fed up with the 'sh**ification' of the modern offering.
